Financial Support
As I share about my upcoming year in Togo I am often asked “Will you be paid while you’re in Africa?”
The answer? No, I won’t be receiving a salary from the Hospital of Hope. In order for me to go serve at the Hospital of Hope for a year I must raise my own funds.
What does this mean? As of now this means that I need $1788/month. This covers things such as housing, food and insurance. I also need to raise an additional $10,000 to cover my airfare, French language training and move-in costs when I arrive in Mango.
As I look forward to my departure to Togo the financial challenges of serving on the mission field can often be overwhelming. However, I also know the Lord is faithful and will provide for my needs. I know He has uniquely prepared me to assist with the opening of the Hospital of Hope. Please pray that I will continue to trust Him to provide for my financial needs. And please pray that this financial need will be met so I can leave for Togo in December to be available when the Hospital of Hope opens on January 8, 2015.

Online: You can donate using any US bank savings or checking account or using a credit or debit card. Please be aware that if you use a credit or debit card a 3% charge is deducted from my account. You can give securely through ABWE at http://www.abwe.org/give/online. For your convenience ABWE does have an automatic support program which allows you to give automatically each month from your bank account or credit/debit card. You may also specify when you’d like for your support to start.

We are looking forward to seeing you head out to Togo. I filled out the form on the ABWE webpage tonight (6/11) and hope that it gets processed correctly. I included a note saying it was supposed to be a monthly contribution.
